4L Capital GmbH ("we", "us") is an independent, BaFin-licensed asset manager based in Karlsruhe, Germany. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website or contact us through it, how we use that data, and which rights you hold. It applies to this website only; data processing within a client relationship is governed by the agreements concluded with you separately.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data needed to operate this website and respond to you:

• Contact data you submit through the contact form: name, email address, optional phone number, and the content of your message.
• Usage data generated automatically when you visit the site: IP address, browser type, date and time of access, and pages viewed. This data is held in server logs.

3. How we use your data

We use contact data exclusively to respond to your inquiry and to prepare any consultation you request. We use usage data to keep the website secure, diagnose technical faults, and improve how the site works. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

We process contact data under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as it is necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. We process usage data under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website.

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and then deleted, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise. Server log data is deleted automatically after 30 days. Where an inquiry leads to a client relationship, data is retained according to the applicable regulatory retention periods.

Under the GDPR you may at any time request:

• access to the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15),
• correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16),
• deletion of your data (Art. 17),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18), and
• you may object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.

7. Cookies

This website uses session cookies only, which are technically necessary and deleted when you close your browser. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies, and no consent banner is therefore required.

8. Third-party services

The website is operated on servers provided by a hosting provider within the European Union, acting as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR. The contact page embeds a map provided by Google; loading it transmits your IP address to Google. Beyond these services, no data is shared with third parties, and no data is sold under any circumstances.
